What's the job?

The Human Resources Generalist has an active role in supporting the overall Shared Services HR team, as well as employees and managers. This role will work in a fast-paced environment and help the team achieve organizational objectives through supporting people initiatives, process improvements, and providing the team analytics. This is a hybrid position based out of our Malvern, PA location.

What will you do?

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

General HR Support:
  • Responsible for day-to-day HR support, interpretation and coordination of SG and HR policies, procedures and programs related to employment, compensation, benefits, and performance management.
  • Provides information as needed in response to inquiries regarding HR policy, guideline issues, incentives, severance, pre-employment screening, employment verification, holidays, and vacation.
  • Creates and maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
  • Facilitates New Hire Orientation.
  • Assists HR Managers with merit increase and incentive plans processes.
  • Assists employees through the on-boarding, off-boarding, leave of absence, and retirement processes, ensuring they receive all of the appropriate information timely.
  • Acts as short-term back up to HR Manager, HR Specialist, and HR Coordinator.
  • Assists hiring managers with kicking off the HR recruitment process.
  • Facilitates internal trainings such as Principles of Conduct and Action.
  • Supports HR Managers with potential M&A and/or Divestiture activity from due diligence to integration as needed.

Data and Systems:
  • Completes necessary employee change forms and performs timely audits of all data entered in the HRIS systems by the HR Coordinator. This role is responsible for ensuring credible information is available on a timely basis, including but not limited to all newly hired employees, termination, promotion, transfer data, rate changes, and reporting changes.
  • Creates, runs, and distributes ad-hoc HRIS reports, including but not limited to leave absence, employee rosters, reporting relationships, and individual management requests as directed.
  • Performs analysis including a variety of human resource metrics and benchmarking data.

Employee Relations:
  • Supports HR Managers on areas including employee relations, performance management, and providing advice to employees in various human resources management matters including interpersonal issues, training, and career development.
  • Researches and troubleshoots employee questions through collaboration with Payroll, HRIS, Total Rewards and Learning & Development.

What do you bring?
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or related field required.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR preferred.
  • 4+ years working in a complex HR organization.
  • Prior HR Generalist experience is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced excel skills required. This position will collect, compile, and analyze HR data, metrics, and statistics, and apply this data to make recommendations related to recruitment, retention, and workforce planning.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment, demonstrating a high level of integrity and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle high volume of work efficiently. Must have strong attention to detail and error prevention.
  • Excellent written / verbal communication skills are required to be successful in this role.
  • Very good analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of sound decision making. Proven ability to work without frequent supervision.
  • Minimal travel may be required.
