Job Description:

The Store Operations Lead supports TYR's Retail leading Selling and Product Training and initiatives. The goal is to design and implement engaging and educational training content to enhance employee knowledge that supports the TYR customer experience and drives the business through improved metric performance. This individual will also support general field Communication, Visuals, and store Repair and Maintenance initiatives as needed. The Store Operations Lead reports to the Manager, Retail Operations.

Learning and Development
  • Design and implement formal selling and product education training inclusive of Product Knowledge materials, Styling, and Customer Journey training resources.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content meets identified gaps and training needs
  • Remain connected to the business and continually validate the effectiveness of training tools and initiatives.
  • Responsible for managing the development of product and styling content from concept to delivery.
  • Design multimedia training materials (audio, video, and role plays)
  • Assist in the delivery of training material and management of training classes as needed.
  • Provide recommendations regarding improvements, enhancements, and new technology to ensure the relevancy of training materials.
  • Regularly pulse field team for feedback and impact of all training deliverables.

Store Communication
  • Responsible for writing/editing/publishing all store communications. Develops materials in support of new store initiatives and policy updates.
  • Maintains and updates, as needed, all policy and procedures. Ensures updates are clear, concise, and posted to the appropriate communication portal in a timely manner.
  • Maintains field workload calendar and publishes weekly.
  • Balances multiple communication projects simultaneously including urgent/critical messaging.
  • Designs and brands all field facing communication inclusive of contests, awards, ad hoc branding docs and flyers. Works closely with internal Marketing teams to ensure consistency and brand integrity.
  • Coaches/Trains store teams on social media usage guidelines. Works closely with internal Marketing teams to ensure consistency and brand integrity.

Store Visual Presentation
  • Works closely with store teams to update and maintain store visual standards in line with Brand expectations.
  • Analyzes and reacts appropriately to sales data, sell-through, product launches, events, etc.
  • Trains and coaches store teams on Brand standards, providing clear direction and execution direction.

Repairs & Maintenance (R&M)
  • Supports with R&M issues for stores ensuring follow through to completion.
  • Assists with scheduling for R&M needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Flexibility to manage competing priorities and shift focus as determined by the changing needs of the business. The candidate must be able to act quickly, competently, and confidently.
  • Strong and flexible writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Highly organized self-starter, team-oriented, and creative thinker
  • Fiscally responsible
  • Fluency in Google applications, MS Office, and Lightspeed Retail preferred.
  • Ability to travel outside of the main office 30% of the time.

Education and Experience
  • 3-5 years working in an Operations role
  • Experience with creating and implementing Training and Development programs required
