Job Description:

About the Position: TBG is partnered with an excellent organization seeking a Director of Outpatient Services to join their team in Queens, NY. The Director of Outpatient Services is responsible for overseeing both clinical and administrative operations within outpatient substance use programs situated in Long Island City Queens. Ensuring adherence to policies, regulatory standards, and licensing requirements falls within the scope of this role. Close collaboration with staff is essential, particularly in strategic and financial planning, program expansion, and fostering positive community and media relations with a focus on achieving organizational goals.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting staff management and budgeting processes.
  • Providing leadership in both clinical and operational aspects to the Outpatient Services Clinic team.
  • Implementing budgeted programs effectively, with proactive measures to address any financial shortfalls.
  • Integrating strategic goals into program development and execution.
  • Cultivating a cohesive team dynamic to drive program growth.
  • Establishing robust progress measurement systems and providing constructive feedback.
  • Aligning strategic goals with budgetary planning across programs and administrative departments.
  • Recruiting, retaining, and motivating staff through leadership, goal setting, and performance management.
  • Developing internal monitoring systems to facilitate data retrieval and utilization.
  • Engaging in collaborative efforts with other drug and rehabilitation agencies and community initiatives.
  • Participating in community outreach, media engagements, and program marketing endeavors.
  • Assisting clinical staff in treatment planning and ensuring compliance with clinical regulations and reimbursement standards.
  • Coordinating patient case management with relevant social services agencies and stakeholders.
  • Reviewing clinical documentation, leading clinical case reviews, and supporting clinical programming.
  • Contributing to workforce development through supervision and training initiatives.

Key Competencies: Leadership, initiative, ethical practice, judgment, relationship management, emotional intelligence, and cultural awareness, among others.

Requirements: Master's degree in social work, an LCSW license, an independent license issued by NYS, 5 years of relevant experience, and familiarity with regulations governing substance use disorder treatment services.

The work environment for this position is primarily indoors within an office setting, utilizing standard office equipment.
