Job Description:

Position Title: Application Support Specialist (Hybrid - Corporate Office Location - Malvern, PA)

Position Overview

This position is responsible for helping the Company achieve its business goals through application of technology in the form of the support of custom web applications and reporting using .NET technologies along with third-party hosted applications. Working within a collaborative, team-oriented environment, the Application Support Specialist will serve as the primary first line of customer support responding to customers’ needs and requirements to gather relevant customer information needed to address their issue, and triage or resolve them.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Demonstrating a high level of responsibility and taking ownership from inception through implementation, the incumbent will work with Microsoft’s core business applications and operating systems to:

  • Maintain and support both in-house and third-party applications.
  • Configure and support SharePoint 365 sites.
  • Support and maintain cloud solutions.
  • Support technical innovation and cost savings improvement that align with company’s goals and objectives.
  • Drive positive results in customer experience and application adoption through timely response and positive interaction.
  • Responsible for identification of relevant knowledge that can be developed into future guidance related to application issues and their correct resolution.
  • Serve as advanced help desk technical support for on-site and remote team members, providing solutions to internal and external issues spanning both Windows and iOS platforms including and not limited to PC, MACs, iPhone & iPads
  • Provide fast turnaround of customer requests. Collaborate with Medical Education and Clinical Affairs teams to produce the company’s clinical data through technique guides, whitepapers, case reports, presentations, and journal publications

Education and Experience

BS or higher in Computer Science or related technical field. Microsoft certification a plus.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• 2+ years of strong experience of web application and database development using Microsoft technologies such as ASP.NET, SSRS.

• 2+ years of strong experience with Microsoft SQL 2016 and above.

• Minimum experience using other reporting solutions such as Prophix, Microsoft Power BI, QlikView or similar programs.

• Solid knowledge and working experience of Microsoft application suite.

• A can-do attitude and a drive to deliver.

• Strong customer service orientation.

• Proactive approach to problem solving.

• SQL Server database query design and optimization

• Strong interpersonal communication skills written and verbal; able to communicate at all levels in the organization.

• Knowledge of release management, version control, and revision control practices and procedures.

• Ability to prioritize workload, to meet deadlines and to maintain a high level of quality and accuracy.

• Ability to interact with individuals with strong personalities professionally and in a relaxed and calm manner.

• Strong understanding of the company’s goals and objectives.

• Collaborative attitude and ability to work extremely well in a team environment.

• Comfortable with self-directed learning, work efficiently.

• Support a dynamic team environment by collaborating with other departments, team and workgroup members, contributing time, effort and ideas.

• On-call availability for emergency issues.

Must be able to:

  • Must have demonstrated ability to multi-task in high pressure, changing conditions Ability to carry and lift to 30 lbs.
  • Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals will be required. Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and execute multiple, large-scale projects independently, on-time, and with a high degree of accuracy.

Working Conditions

This position works in a home office, office. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate.

Primary Location and Travel

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

We anticipate that on an ongoing basis this role will be a hybrid-based position although incumbents will need to participate in face to face Corporate meetings or events as needed.
