The Opportunity…

This is an opportunity to join Segal’s Financial Services unit at a critical moment of expansion as we transition to a new financial system and workflows to accommodate the company’s growth. 

As Accounts Payable Analyst, you will be responsible for performing full cycle, day-to-day administrative AP functions. This department has a high volume of transactions which include a variety of payment requests and vendor invoice submissions from multiple business units. You will also be collaborating with a team focused on developing efficient processes related to our new financial system. Your contribution will be important to our ongoing success as you contribute to this initiative. Data entry proficiency, attention to detail and customer service are all valuable skills to bring to this role.

This position reports to the Accounts Payable Supervisor and is based in the New York office, offering a flexible hybrid work schedule.

Key responsibilities include but may not be limited to…


  • Accurately process daily Accounts Payable transactions for all Segal companies

  • Confirm proper coding of invoices to correct accounts and business units

  • Prepare physical check/electronic payments

  • Review and validate expense requests and approvals to ensure accuracy and prevent duplicate entries

  • Provide timely responses to vendors, staff, and business stakeholders regarding payment status, corrections, or other information

  • Bank activity including pay transactions, internal transfers, positive pay reporting

  • Set up of new vendors and subcontractors and related vendor record maintenance

  • Annual 1099 preparation

  • Payables reporting as needed

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar AP or expense-related role

  • Experience with financial or other vendor billing systems (Dynamics SL, MS Dynamics 365, Adaptive are preferred)

  • Proficiency in business related tools including Teams, Outlook, MS Office (especially Excel)

  • Experience with vendor onboarding and vendor relationship management

  • Familiarity with multiple legal entity business structures and complex cost center coding are a plus

The current salary range for this position is $58,000 to $80,000 plus opportunity for a discretionary performance bonus based on company profitability and employee performance.
