Intern - Mechanical Engineering at Coherent Corp. in Saxonburg, Pennsylvania

Job Description:

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• The person will help with engineering projects for the coating department.
• The candidate will work with and do task for other engineers in the department.

• Minimum 2 - 4 years of course work completed from an accredited university in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other applicable college programs.

• Strong, hands-on mechanical aptitude to build and assemble equipment.
• Ability to design parts and make revisions to drawings for equipment ad assemblies.
• Some knowledge of electrical assembly is a plus.
• CAD skills are a plus.
• Consistent good safety practices are essential.
• Forward thinker.
• Team-oriented.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Good communication, both verbal and nonverbal.

• Office, work shop and clean room environment within manufacturing facility.
• Must be able to work with power tools, hand tools, radioactive materials and other toxic chemicals

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
