Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for identifying and managing asset reliability risk to enable Enterprise Asset Management best practices. Assist in developing, optimizing, and implementing equipment reliability strategies that will maximize asset value creation, safe and compliant equipment operation, and controlled cost of ownership. Leverage objective data and KPI’s to collaborate with EAM Lead and key stakeholders to continually improve Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) at Targa. 

 

JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Provides reliability, technical, and engineering services to optimize asset life - rotating equipment (compressors, engines, pumps, expanders), low and medium voltage electrical equipment (motors, switchgear, VFD's, transformers), and process equipment (fired heaters, filtration, exchangers) - in a safe and effective manner.

  • Provides technical support to assigned areas of responsibility by providing technical assistance in resolving asset equipment design, operations, etc.

  • Assists in formulating, implementing, maintaining, and auditing Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs.

  • Assists Operations and Maintenance departments in developing procedures, training, and processes to ensure equipment is operated within its design parameters.

  • Advises Engineering on new capital designs and installations to ensure that equipment reliability, operability, and maintainability are addressed.

  • Develops and reviews equipment specifications and standards for reliability improvement.

  • Develops and tracks cost justifications for reliability improvement.

  • Develops, maintains, and ensures continuous improvements of the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)

  • Identifies and trends operational data (captured via automation or manual inspection) to enhance Targa’s PM programs.

  • Leads and supports Incident Investigations related to equipment failure.

  • Ensures and follows up on the execution and implementation of recommendations derived from Incident Investigations

  • Utilizes Maximo and other electronic tools to quantify maintenance cost and preventive/ predictive maintenance program efficacy.

  • Provides technical support to startup and commissioning teams.

  • Provides Reliability Progress Reports as required.

  • Performs all duties following the safety rules and guidelines.

  • Assists or leads Maximo Job Plan and Master PM creation and implementation.

  • Facilitates and leads the Job Plan Governance Committee as delegated by the EAM Director.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

 


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Mechanical Engineering preferred and/or 5 years equivalent work experience in a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Reliability Engineering, Project Management, and Asset Management.

  • Knowledge of Maximo 7.6 Oil and Gas preferred.

  • Maximo 7.6 certification preferred.

  • Experience utilizing Power BI reports.

  • Knowledge of ISO14224, ISO 55000, and NEC codes and standard

  • Expert ability to analyze operations, read and understand asset performance metrics, read and understand labor and craft performance metrics, and provide recommendations for improvement.

  • Excellent PC skills and proficient with applicable software applications.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Familiar with and or able to implement Company safety policies and procedures.

  • An excellent self-starter and able to work successfully with minimal supervision.

  • Skilled at delivering in-person training and engage employees in learning EAM-related skills and abilities.

  • Effective trust building and partnership management skills.
