Foundation Risk Partners, one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the US, is adding a Claims Advocate to their Genatt V team in New Hyde Park, NY.
Job Summary:
Act as a liaison between the client(s), carrier(s) and other industry stakeholders. Advocate on behalf of clients to obtain a positive outcome with respect to claim matters.
Essential Functions:
Submit notice of claims
Communicate with insureds, carriers, and other necessary parties to monitor and track open claims
Request and gather necessary documents
Actively advocate on behalf of insureds and work claim towards resolution
Prepare claim narratives and attend claim reviews
Review and analyze insurance policies
Identify coverage issues and explore resolution
Create claim notes, attach emails and keeping organized files for each claim
Maintain and actively monitor claims diary
Strategize to develop plan to drive claims to resolution
Competencies & Qualifications:
Computer skills and proficiency with tools such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and EPIC
Strong critical thinking, decision-making, strategic planning and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Detail orientated with strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Must be flexible and have the ability to adjust to priorities
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree
3+ years with insurance claims handling experience on commercial and/or personal lines of insurance
Pay Transparency Range
$50,000-$65,000
This range represents the estimated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to performance, location, and experience. The range listed is just one component of FRP's total compensation package for employees.
