View Point Healths GRAN Recovery Center is a 28-day Intensive Residential Addiction treatment program. With an emphasis on maintaining a positive therapeutic community, treatment interventions focus on promoting abstinence from substance use, shifting from addictive behaviors and effecting change in the individuals lifestyle, attitudes, and values. We are looking for a Residential Care Provider to join our multi-disciplinary team to monitor general client activity, observe and report behaviors of adult clients with a substance use disorder and/or co-occurring mental health in an intensive residential treatment facility. The position requires flexibility in job tasks and scheduling to accommodate needs of the facility to include some weekend and evening coverage. This facility requires alternating holiday coverage between all staff.

Under general supervision, assesses client health problems and needs. Develops and implements nursing care plans and maintains medical records. Administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled clients. May advise clients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management.

Duties & Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care in a day services program for clients being treated for mental illness or addictive disease.Performs initial assessments of clients presenting mental health or alcohol/drug problems.Interviews client/family, takes vital signs, performs any necessary routine tests, and reviews available background information.Documents observations, medical history, physical and psychosocial examination results, and initial analysis of diagnostic data.Formulates individualized nursing treatment plan based on assessments, physician's/clinician's plan of care, and the client's level of need and functional ability.Writes treatment plans that are clear, complete, grammatically correct, and properly coded and which meet Medicaid, insurer, CARF, and other required standards for diagnoses, content, justifications for treatment, and treatment time frames.Performs direct client care including medication management, administration of injections, and instruction to the client on self-care.Observations and records of the client's progress notes responses to treatment and any new symptoms or other changes in the client's condition.Notifies the physician or clinician of significant side effects or other adverse reactions observed or reported.Makes suggestions to the treatment team regarding any needed changes to the clients treatment plan, adjusts nursing care plan accordingly, and secures necessary authorizations and re-authorizations.Work in a fast-paced environment.Maintains medical records that meet all applicable standards. Writes clear, concise progress notes that relate directly to the service plan and properly document treatment outcomes.Provides group and individual training and supportive counseling to adult mental health clients and their families as needed.May provide crisis intervention and after-hours, on call services as assigned.Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university OR associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse AND any related professional work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in an outpatient mental health setting; Knowledge and experience using Carelogic Electronic Records System

Requirements/Competencies:
Must be able to lift 20 pounds.Requires long periods of sitting/standing.Must have valid Georgia drivers license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting).Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.Any combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.Other duties as assigned.
