Job Description:

Our Clinical Documentation Improvement team continuously reviews medical records of hospitalized patients to identify the most appropriate principle diagnosis and works together on an ongoing basis to ensure records reflect appropriate clinical severity, complications and co-morbidity. Perform initial, concurrent and retrospective reviews to ensure accurate documentation, coding and reimbursements along with relevant quality and performance improvement opportunities. We work onsite at Kansas Medical Center to optimize communication between our team and the physicians to minimize delays and meet our goals.
The right candidate willhave a nursing degree and acoding background to enable accurate identification of diagnoses and corresponding standardized codes and classifications.
