Coastal Engineering Associates, Inc., (COASTAL) established in 1958, is a multi-disciplined firm providing surveying, engineering, planning, environmental and construction management services in the four County region of Hernando, Citrus, Sumter, and Pasco located in west-central Florida. COASTAL is looking for a full-time CAD Designer - Land Development with experience in civil engineering.
Job Requirements:
General: Design and drafting of grading plans, utility plans, roadway plan and profiles, cross sections, and general civil land development construction plans. Qualified candidates must have a working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D (2018 or newer) and the ability to learn and understand State and Local municipal development codes. • Design and CAD drafting experience on residential, commercial and/or municipal projects. • Experience with land development site layouts, grading and stormwater design, utility design, roadway plan and profiles, general civil infrastructure plans, erosion and sediment control design and general civil engineering design drafting. • Candidate must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. • Candidate needs the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines. • Knowledge of Microsoft Office product suite with ability to at least operate word processing and spreadsheet programs. • Working knowledge of land development including roads, water and sewer infrastructure design and planning. • Ability to prepare drawings of variable complexity from simple sketches to elaborate 3D plan sets. • Ability to extract information from existing ArcGIS projects, particularly preliminary boundary, topographic, and drainage related information. • Ability to utilize AutoCAD Storm & Sanitary Analysis and Hydraflow are used for storm pipe sizing.
Minimum Starting Salary of $52K (commensurate with level of experience) plus company benefits based on employee experience, references, and related knowledge of job responsibilities. Coastal also has a profit-sharing 401k and company bonus plan for qualified employees; base work hours Monday thru Friday 8:00am to 5:00 pm.
