Role Description
We are looking for an experienced Associate Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience working in a high-end residential and/or hospitality architecture firm. The Associate Architect will collaborate on design and project strategy with the Principal and Senior Architect. Day-to-day tasks include but are not limited to zoning analysis, measuring and documenting existing conditions, utilizing Revit to create project models, preparation of presentations, visualizations, and construction documents, and other related tasks. The role is located in Westfield, NJ, but a hybrid schedule may be considered.
Job functions:
Assist in modeling and documentation with other departments, i.e. prepare presentations, Interiors modeling, etc.
Develop and coordinate the production of contract documents based on the job-specific requirements
Deliver high-quality drawings within established company standards and support ongoing improvements
Monitor and coordinate with consultants as required
Complete contract documents on schedule and within budget
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in architectural practice
Strong proficiency in Revit and Google Workspace
Knowledge of construction document process and production
Basic knowledge of residential architectural detailing and current construction standards
Basic knowledge of IRC, NJ codes and ability to apply local ordinances
Demonstrate oral and written English communication skills
Ability to work independently and with team members
Architectural visualization skills are a plus
Experience in historical restoration and design is a plus
Experience in project scheduling and construction administration is a plus
