NSA's EHS Intern will play a vital role in assisting the Corporate Safety Manager in creating, monitoring, and maintaining safety policies and procedures that will ensure an efficient and safe working environment for all employees. We are a fourth-generation family owned and operated apparel manufacture with multiple locations throughout the country. Responsibilities:
Develop and Implement a Formalized Lockout/Tagout Program
Audit Chemicals within Facilities and update SDS Book as necessary
Assist Corporate Safety Manager with Safety Committee Tasks and Audits
Assist Corporate Safety Manager in Safety Trainings and Certifications
Track and Log Incidents and Injuries as needed, Analyze data for trends
Develop Standard Operating Procedures for work centers
Implement and maintain all required inspection forms
Other Duties as Assigned
Experience/Qualifications:
Minimum working towards a four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with an emphasis in EHS.
3.0 GPA preferred.
Experienced with Microsoft Office.
Prior Manufacturing and Safety experience preferred.
OSHA, NFPA, EPA knowledge is a plus.
Bilingual/Multilingual is a plus
