The scope of this project is to provide operations training support in the conduct of licensed operator initial license operator training programs from March 2024 through October 2024. Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
Implement and presents integrated systems training.
Prepare employees for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) initial examinations.
Participate in the design and development of operator training
Develop, administer written and oral examinations.
Conduct Simulator training for all phases of Initial Licensed operator training
Revise instructional materials to reflect changes in plant design, current plant practices, regulations, and/or operating philosophies.
Four Ten-hour workdays during normal working hours. Some afternoons, backshift, or weekend hours may be required to perform the scope of this work. An alternate work schedule may be used at the discretion of CPNPP Management with approval from GSE. GSE Staff may not work greater than 40 hours per week without prior approval from CPNPP and GSE.
The instructors work 4-10's (either Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday) Days
For 18 weeks starting July 2024, LC31 will be working 4-10's Thursday-Sunday Day shift 0600-1630 due to LC30/31 simulator overlap. The workdays after the overlap period are still to be determined.
Experience Requirements: • PWR SRO Instructor qualification ( Prior Comanche Peak or Westinghouse 4 loop PWR preferred) • At least 5 years' experience as an SRO Classroom and Simulator Floor Instructor
