The Vice President of US Research and Development will be responsible for shaping strategic plans and direct the Research and Development teams enabling delivery on growth and impact commitments. Direct product development, ingredient, product and process optimization and emerging technology research to increase shareholder value through new profit streams, protecting and improving existing profit streams, and creating Schreiber product advantages.
What you'll do:
Direct strategy and develop roadmaps for all US Research and Development Programs at Schreiber foods including product development, ingredient, product, process and emerging technology research and innovation, pilot plant activities, product trials and commercialization and sensory programs.
Serve as senior leader representing research and development with key stakeholders with commercial and customers, supply chain and suppliers, and operations areas of business.
Oversee product project management by establishing key priorities and commitments are being met. Identify and generate new R&D ideas and technologies.
Oversee all research performed by Schreiber in partnership with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure that all trade secrets and product strategies are protected and have competitive advantage in our marketplaces.
Has ownership of all partner development activities. This includes identifying talent, partner development, partner promotions and performance.
Actively participate in industry trade associations and professional organizations, such as the National Cheese Institute (NCI), Food Research Institute (FRI), American Dairy Science Association (ADSA), and Institute of Food Technologists (IFT). Actively interact with relevant universities and dairy research centers with the objective of keeping Schreiber competitive in the technological arena.
