Job Description:

• Responsible for the collection, analysis, and reporting of key Merchandising KPI's- Category/Product sales, margin and related data in an on-going effort to increase overall financial performance and productivity.
• Lead financial planning for Merchandising inclusive of creating Seasonal and Annual financial plans and targets, in-season business forecasts and reporting.
• Ability to convert complex data into presentations provide insights into product/category performance, and segment trends.
• Analyze and consolidate financial data to create weekly summaries of performance for Merchandising leadership.
• Role will support executives, Product Managers, and broader Merchandising organization as they are expected to research trends, evaluate sales, margin and inventory performance, and identify areas for growth.
• Communicate business strategies, initiatives, segment information, and other key findings to the appropriate stakeholders.
• Identify trends within industry, segment and communicate adjustment strategies.
• Supports periodic sales revenue target setting and forecasting and may conduct research to estimate market demand.
• Ability to provide ad hoc reporting as required.
• Deep knowledge of B2B pricing: market-based pricing methodology (e.g. value proposition, next-best-competitive-alternatives), price leakage management, and customer segmentation and competitive price research
• Lead data analysis, development of pricing models and produce insights to drive pricing strategies
• Conduct research and perform competitive pricing analyses
• Work closely with Sales, Product and Marketing to understand product value drivers and fit within overall business strategy
• Systematically review internal data to identify areas of opportunity in pricing
• Delivering data-driven insights: Develop insightful market and business intelligence including industry trends, competitive threats, category/assortment opportunities, etc. and advise the leadership team on strategic implications and actions.
• Implementing new processes and ways of working: Build effective ways of working across teams and drive collaboration and coordination across functions. Identify opportunity areas that create efficiency, remove obstacles and improve business processes.

Competencies & Skills
  • Minimum 3 years data experience in Merchandise analytics, planning related role
  • Merchandising Analytics competence (forecasting, planning, reporting, processes and methodologies)
  • Ability to distill complex business issues and strategies to highlight insights and actionable recommendations in a concise and persuasive manner.
  • Demonstrated proficiency managing analytically rigorous initiatives
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment with diverse audiences, management levels, cultures, and personalities to drive business positive outcomes
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, handle multiple tasks and work under time constraints is required.
  • Trusted advisor with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong drive and will to succeed
  • Flexibility and ability to adjust on the fly to new demands; knows when to demonstrate a sense of urgency
  • Advanced expertise with excel and data sets.
  • Experience with MDM software, Tableau or Power BI
  • BS/BA required; MBA a plus
  • Experience in Management Consulting a strong plus
