Job Description



Working as a key member of our Health Sciences commercial team, your objective will be to generate new revenues and ensure delivery of the SGS Quay Pharma commercial strategy.


This is a new business, client acquisition role and requires a consultative approach. You will be pivotal and a material contributor to the overall commercial strategy and your overriding objective is to generate revenue from identifying opportunities.



More specifically, you will:



  • Work with Commercial Operations to develop lead creation activities within target markets.

  • Pursuing and opening a line of dialogue with the prospective clients.

  • Securing a position to tender or quote for upcoming work with new and existing clients.

  • Support or lead development initiatives for strategic or key accounts.

  • Maintain current knowledge of service capabilities and relationship network of stakeholder throughout the SGS Health Sciences Organization.

  • Develop and prioritize a list of target accounts for specific service sales and a strategy to achieve defined sales targets.

  • Partner with operations and service delivery teams to develop accurate and timely quotations and proposals for your clients.




Qualifications



To be successful in this role, you will need extensive and recent experience in a similar senior sales position within the life sciences sector (preferably with a focus on CDMO services)


You will be results focused and commercially aware, you will need to think creatively and will have the ability to understand client operational requirements and find solutions. You will have the ability to develop innovative solutions for clients and will have a strong aptitude to convert strategy into results.


The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management, consultants and clients, with highly developed presentation, negotiation and persuasion skills.



We are interested in applicants who have:



  • Knowledge of Formulation Development and Manufacture of pharmaceuticals and / or Biotherapeutics.

  • Experience in a Contract Research Organization (CRO) an advantage.

  • The ability to prospect and open doors with new clients. You will also be comfortable networking within a client's organization.

  • Experience of working with external and internal procurement departments and procurement systems

  • Been educated to degree level within a scientific discipline (advantageous)
