Position: Controller
Location: Fort Myers, Florida (Onsite Position)
Responsibilities:
Oversee all financial activities of the company, including accounting, budgeting, financial planning, and analysis.
Manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, statements, and forecasts for management and stakeholders.
Collaborate with executive leadership to drive strategic financial initiatives and business decisions.
Lead and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and professional development.
Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in financial management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
5+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, preferably in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead a team to meet deadlines and objectives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
Prior experience in a leadership role preferred.
Ability and desire to work onsite 100% of the time.
