Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees the monthly close process including preparation and review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and the income statement review.
- Create and maintain monthly reports to compare and analyze actual results with budgets, forecasts, and previous results
- Collaborate with various department leaders to identify cost savings and maximize profitability
- Work with department leaders to be a point of contact and resource to solve issues
- Assist with the integration of acquisitions.
- Implement and streamline ERP and Business Applications.
- Issues timely and complete financial statements, including balance sheets, cash flow statements, and profit and loss statements.
- Coordinates the preparation of external monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Assists the external auditors with the annual audit.
- Assists with coordination of income tax returns and provision requests.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of Accounting systems and supporting databases and troubleshoots/fixes system issues.
- Training and Supporting team members in the use of financial systems
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Must have excellent computer and technical skills, especially Excel, and proficiency using various software systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong personal image and poise
- Strength in dealing with peer groups and senior executives
- Demonstrate competence in decision making
- Ability to take initiative, multi-task and work well under pressure
- Ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Accounting or Finance related field
- Minimum 5 years work experience in comparable field or position
- Experience with NetSuite preferred
- ERP management and implementation experience preferred
