PPG Aerospace is seeking an experienced Packaging and Process Engineer to join our Indianapolis, Indiana facility. As a vital member of our team, you will help support and expand our Aerospace Packaging and Chemical Packaging Services products. Responsibilities include collaborating with teams, designing packaging solutions, optimizing manufacturing processes, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PPG North American application support center (ASC) teams to support and grow Aerospace Packaging and Chemical Packaging Services (CPS) product lines


• Manage the full process from lead creation through to shipment of product, including package selection, part number creation, labeling, costing, and pricing


• Assist ASCs in setting up suppliers, selecting equipment, and managing filling and shipping processes


• Support repackaging of materials in CMS programs, working closely with the CMS team


• Identify and capitalize on new opportunities for repackaging through interactions with customers and sales teams


• Implement procedures and methods to establish best practices and ensure compliance with quality standards


• Manage the Management of Change (MOC) process for all new packaging opportunities


• Represent PPG at trade shows and events to promote products and achieve business objectives


• Help develop capital expenditure requests for third-party packaging


• Design and improve processes to support filling and completion of finished goods

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging or Process Engineering preferred or commensurate experience required


• Two (2) years of experience in packaging and process engineering preferred


• Knowledge of materials and material compatibilities preferred


• Knowledge of Aerospace and chemical packaging processes preferred


• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
