Job Description:

As a Certified Optima Solutions Professional , you will be an important part of delivering excellent customer service and ensuring sales growth to our Automotive OEM customers as an onsite/travelling PPG subject matter expert. You will provide product and technical know-how to ensure PPG products and services outperform competitors'. As a Certified Optima Solutions Professional you will be well versed in product composition, customer application equipment, environmental issues, and processes that are ancillary to the finishing operations.

Responsibilities:

• Primary contact person for all customer troubleshooting and questions. Will lead in communicating between the customer and internal PPG support departments.


• Provide sales support to maintain and expand business at existing accounts and to assist with launches / start-ups of new accounts.


• Advise colleagues in setting sales strategies and executing sales / profit plans for the entire product line / region.


• Become knowledgeable of the PPG liquid coating, powder coatings, ADS field repair, and restoration methodologies.


• Maintain paint quality, addressing/solving issues, and process management.


• Comply with all of PPG EHS guidelines and initiatives.


• Build sales position by establishing strong customer relationships at all levels, provide timely resolution to customer's concerns, and quickly troubleshoot problems.


• Manage inventory at customer locations of PPG product to increase inventory turns, reduce product obsolescence and maximize freight advantages.


• Provide superior technical problem solving which produces higher yield rates, lower reject rates and optimum appearance on the customer's production line.


• Take lead on special projects


• Service other customers in surrounding regions when necessary.
  
  

Qualifications:

• High school degree, GED, or equivalent


• 5+ years of experience in Wet Coatings, Preparation, Finishes, or similar


• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment


• Experience with Automotive Liquid or Powder Coatings is ideal


• Basic computer proficiency and experience with Excel, SAP, Oracle or similar
