Job Description:

Schneider Electric has an outstanding opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to assume the role of an Upstream Planning Leader.

Location: West Chester, OH

You will be primarily accountable of the supplier forecast and their accuracy, managing all data to support the Quality Processes, monitor and improve the upstream SC performance, implementation of rules and principles of management of suppliers into the Red Oak facility.

Responsibilities


  • Organize the upstream flows with the suppliers to improve the supplier SC performance. Set and release suppliers forecast and manage logistic terms and conditions

  • Ensures the update, quality and consistency of key parameters of supply and stock management (ex: Replenishment Lead Time, Quantity, Frequence, Stocking policy...)

  • Organize and optimize the procurement of components with our suppliers by following the SPS principles, from last ad value of the supplier to point of use in the plant

  • Pilot the containment, corrective and preventive actions to solve upstream SC issues of the plant using the 8D methodology

  • Be the Data-Owner of Supply Chain Management (SCM) Domain managing all data (creation, update and deletion) to support the Quality Processes on the several used tools (SAP and any Domain/local tools)


To whom will you report?

Supply Chain Manager


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration is required

  • 1-3 years' experience in Supply Chain Management in a manufacturing setting is an asset

  • Proficient with using computers and advanced knowledge with applications (access, excel)

  • Proficient in SAP or other ERP systems is preferred

  • Effective communication, facilitation, and strong negotiation skills in English.

  • Critical thinking skills are required

  • Ability to plan and organize effectively and has strong decision-making skills

  • Strong relationship and collaborative management skills

  • Must be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task
