Job Description:

Job Summary

Assigned to a CNC steel processing machine:  Maintains a high level of productivity and safety awareness while working as part of a crew to cut and clean 2-D shaped in order to fill customer orders based on daily schedule.

Job Responsibilities   

• Operation of a CNC Plasma, Oxy fuel, Laser burning machines


• Ensures that the machine and tables are in proper running condition and the machine and torches are square before operation of machine


• Reads the work order and matches material to correct cutting nest before burning


• Verify that the HT# is correct for the material is being processed


• Does a test run to ensure program is running properly


• Does first piece inspection to verify part is correct to the print


• Documents all required information on work order


• Label parts to work order


• Clean and package parts per customer specifications


• Loads correct program, plate alignment and database


• Cuts scrap for easy off load from machine


• Keeps machine and work area clean and orderly


• Ability to operate overhead cranes and rigging equipment safely


• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent


• 1 to 3 months related experience and/or training preferred

Working Conditions

This position is performed in a warehouse environment. This role may work near mechanical parts and in covered/outside weather conditions including a dusty environment.
