Specialist- IS Infrastructure Platforms Microsoft


Work Location (onsite): Kansas City or Minneapolis, MN
Hours Per Week: 40
Hours Per Day: 8

Description:

• With minimal supervision, Specialists are responsible to analyze complex situations, demonstrate ability to apply critical thinking techniques to validate understanding of existing infrastructure technology solutions and/or test and validate new solution designs.


• Must maintain a strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), (AGILE, Accelerated SAP (ASAP), Waterfall) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) procedures.


• This role is responsible for supporting Data Center Services applications.


• They will be actively engaged in the projects delivery on the core module and new technologies.


• Provide guidance and subject matter expertise to project teams within domains, interactions with applications/networks, security, NetApp, EMC Storage, Redhat, SLES and Microsoft.


• Assist in producing and maintaining the technical documentation (environment documentation, implementation plans, run-books, and operational guidelines, scripting) that provides the core documents needed in maintenance and refresh development.


• Assist in developing operational models, processes, and documentation to maintain and govern all aspects of CP's DCS's responsibilities.


• Provide technical expertise (Vblock, server, AWS, Azure, Print Services, Domain Services, M365, etc.) in the planning, design and implementation of projects and key initiatives.


• This person is expected to work with Expert and Principal Leads to develop Proof-of-Concepts for prescribed CP initiatives within DCS responsibilities.


• As a subject matter expert, they must take initiative to resolve difficult and often complex DCS related issues that have been escalated through tiers of support.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Mgmt Info Systems, or related discipline

Work Experience:

• 4-6 years of converged Infrastructure experience with specialization in one of the three base technologies (Compute, Storage or Networking)


• 7-10 years of practical experience using a wide variety of programming languages C#, VB.Net. & Computer infrastructure experience

• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, seeks required input across departments to achieve goals.


• Ability to independently drive results and meet timelines as part of a strong technical delivery team.
