Summary: To operate, maintain, and service boilers, air compressors, chillers, hydraulic pumps, clarifiers, and cooling towers.


Responsibilities:



  • Operate, maintain, and service boilers, air compressors, chillers, hydraulic pumps, clarifiers, and cooling towers.

  • Rebuild worn pumps, valves, and repair or replace piping systems.

  • Assist other team members in providing information or collecting data relative to the plant services.

  • Maintain an inventory of parts and reorder supplies.

  • Perform chemical treatment for all systems. Required to maintain work records (work orders, PM's, Materials and parts) on computerized Maintenance system.


Requirements:



  • A minimum of 3 years experience as Boiler Operator is reqired.

  • Must possess a Mass 2nd Class Fireman License.

  • Must work well with others and have communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Universal refrigeration license is a plus.

  • Demonstrated mechanical skills techniques

  • Knowledge of HVAC

  • Knowledge of plumbing and piping

  • Read, write and speak English

  • Follow manufacturing/equipment specifications

  • Perform basic math calculations

  • Use blueprints and schematics

  • Use a computer

  • Use/understand measuring devices/tolerances

  • Use various hand and power tools

  • Learn and apply quality standards of workmanship/product

  • To obtain forklift pallet-jack and/or man-lift license
