Your Typical Day


As a structural engineer at Thornton Tomasetti, you perform structural analysis, design and detailing for all types of buildings, using a variety of materials and building codes. Coordinating design work with in-house colleagues as well as design professionals, such as architects and engineers, from other disciplines is critical for success. With the support of your team, you also prepare construction documents within a BIM environment. Our emphasis on collaboration and innovation create s a culture where you can use you r skills while building on them to gain new expertise . In this role you will gain hands-on experience by collaborating on rewarding projects such as cultural buildings, office buildings, and healthcare design in addition to renovation work in a consulting environment.



Here's What You'll Need For This Job



Qualifications:

• Master's degree in structural or architectur al engineering
  
  


• Working knowledge of industry software, including SAP2000, ETABS, Ram, Risa 3-D, PCA Software, Revit and AutoCAD
  
  


• 0-2 years of relevant experience, including new design and renovation
