Job Description:

As a Certified Optima Solutions Professional (AutomotiveOEM Coatings), you will represent PPG onsite ensuring our Automotive manufacturing customer satisfaction by providing outstanding service; focusing your concentration in Color and Appearance control to their specifications. Be self-directed and responsible to both the Plant and PPG goals. Participate in Continuous Improvement and problem resolution meetings with Plant Operations and Management!

Responsibilities:

• Support the ongoing activities of PPG onsite at customer automotive production facilities and communicate logically with initiative to understand customer concerns, collect data, take appropriate actions, and resolve problems within a timely manner.


• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to the Paint process team.


• Effectively communication with PPG Technical and Account management, direction of the PPG on site team activity, and to promote Health, Safety, and Environmental mentorship is always followed.


• Providing timely resolution to customer inquiries, application process monitoring, mix-room supervision, consignment inventory, material ordering, and hands-on support as needed; followed by a written daily shift report.


• Follow safe work practices, with mechanical aptitude to be able to communicate intelligently and optimally with technical, production and non-technical personnel to satisfy customer requirements.

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma, GED, or Equivalent.


• 1+ yrs of experience in Automotive Manufacturing.


• 3+ yrs experience (preferred) in Automotive Paint/Coatings, paint Kitchen/lab with may include: paint mixing, application, spray booth, or similar experience in industrial or OEM paints and coating.


• Basic computer skills including use of Word, Outlook, Excel or similar. Ideal experience with Oracle and/or SAP or similar.


• Good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work with your customer and team members to solve challenging problems.


• Ability to work well within a team environment to solve challenges.


• Must be able to work 2nd shift
