The Supervision and Regulation department serves this overall mission by supervising and regulating state member banks, bank holding companies, and regional, large, and foreign banking institutions. Together, we work to promote a safe, sound, fair and transparent banking and financial system.

About the Position:

The Senior Communications and Culture (Business Operations) Analyst provides communications, culture and event management support to the Supervision and Regulation department. This work requires strong writing and editorial skills, as well as the ability to lead and implement complex projects while building relationships across the department.


  • Internal Communications: Responsible for strategizing, writing, and editing content for the department’s communications channels. This individual oversees the department’s content on all relevant intranets and platforms. Leads and implements department internal communications strategy.


  • Culture and Engagement: Analyzes information and develops action plans to advance the department’s culture and employee engagement efforts. Leads the development, management and implementation of culture strategy and initiatives.  


  • Event Planning: Organizes and plans the logistics for department-wide events. Integrates department culture and internal communications strategy into department-wide events.


  • Consultant: Serves as the primary point of contact and consultant to many internal and external stakeholders.


Your Responsibilities:


  • Leads, participates in and executes communications and culture-related projects of moderate to high complexity; develops and facilitates project plans, timelines and implementation


  • Overall strategy and content lead for department internal communications 


  • Owns and drives department culture and engagement strategies and projects; works closely with internal partners to implement culture-related initiatives


  • Consults with internal and external partners to create focused and value-add communications, analyses, reports, and documents


  • Prepares for and presents conclusions and recommendations, in both written and oral format, concerning moderately complex to complex matters related to culture, communications and event planning


  • Creates, maintains, collects and distributes key materials to support the department such as project plans, tracking spreadsheets, metrics and/or documentation


  • Derives sound analysis of complex topics, conducts thorough and accurate work, supports findings and conclusions, makes recommendations and decisions, and follows-up as appropriate


  • Drawing on professional experience and expertise, generates ideas for process improvement initiatives and participates in control activities that establish, maintain and validate standards for the functional area


  • Builds relationships with and gains knowledge from teams within the department; develops relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as other Reserve Banks and vendors


  • Serves as a mentor and/or coach; provides guidance, training and constructive feedback to all levels of staff


Your Background:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience


  • Five plus years of direct, work-related experience


  • Education and/or experience in English Literature, Business Communications, Marketing, Journalism or similar field preferred


  • Experience in leading, developing or participating in cultural programming preferred



  • Strong writing and editorial skills



  • Corporate communications skills including



    • Familiarity with building and/or maintaining content management systems and intranet sites preferred


    • Familiarity with event planning and management preferred




  • Critical and independent thinking and decision-making abilities


  • Strong project management skills


  • Intermediate analytical and problem solving skills


  • Strong oral communication and presentation skills


  • Ability to provide guidance and constructive feedback


  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to build and work collaboratively within and across work teams


  • Ability to manage time and projects effectively by adjusting quickly to new and different priorities


  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office products (SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word)

Location:

This position is considered Hybrid, which means your presence will be required at one of the Seventh District offices - Chicago, Detroit, or Des Moines. Preferred location, Chicago, IL.
