Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Abide by, enforce and participate in the implementation and ongoing oversight of all company safety standards and regulations.
Design, specify, assemble and test fluid transfer systems for the R&D room.
Perform time observations and document process steps. Observe workers as they perform work processes to document such processes and ensure consistency in meeting standards. Clarify and resolve inconsistencies in observations and/or existing documents with appropriate Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
Analyze actual observed times versus historical standards. Analyze time, motion, methods, or speed involved in maintenance, production, or other operations to establish standard production rate or improve efficiency. Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
Participate in pillar events with a cross-functional team to analyze and implement process improvements.
Document process improvements through the development of standard work procedures and process maps; implement audit procedures and visual controls to ensure sustainability. Develop, update and maintain standard work instructions, forms and quality check points. Prepare charts, graphs, or diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, or machine utilization.
Recommend and assist in the establishment and implementation of safety procedures, identification and review safety issues, review safety and accident reports, and implementation of corrective action.

Education/Experience:
Enrolled in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics or related four-year college or university program; and training and/or experience in developing, planning, documenting and implementing continuous improvement projects.
Language Ability:
Effective written and verbal communication skills are required. Individual must have the ability to discuss both technical and non-technical information with technical and non-technical personnel; have the ability to write documents that meet the needs of the target audience; and must have the ability to effectively present information to staff, managers and executives of the company.
Math Ability:
This job requires the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. The ability to apply concepts of basic algebra & geometry is preferred.
Reasoning Ability:
The work involved in carrying out the job tasks requires the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; and the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in or from situations encountered in the job in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
Due to the need to document work processes, proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Projects, etc.) is required. Proficiency Experience in the use of databases and data management systems is preferred.
