Job Description:

What will you do?


  • Investigate alternative warehouse layouts and processes to provide new capacity and improve material flow and productivity of existing facilities.

  • Present results of investigations and carry out approved recommendations.

  • Support the entities in the deployment of Schneider Production System standards and processes like Warehouse architecture, GRN to Putaway LT, Evacuation methodology, etc.

  • Carry out studies to determine equipment requirements, prepare and present results, prepare budget for projects and technical validation with suppliers/contractors.

  • Travel to warehouses to evaluate project progress and manage challenges.

  • Conduct analysis of warehouse volume data using excel/access/suitable tools and present results using these and other software.

  • Seek and secure warehouse operations approval for proposed projects and provide enough analysis data in carrying out approved recommendations.

  • Support Distribution Centers to drive transformation projects by mentoring and leading the projects (Solve Business Problems).

  • Specialize in setting up new warehouse (Infrastructure) - Green field & Existing warehouse.

  • Automation expertise in warehouse like implementation of AGV, RF Scan gun, Tracking systems, Conveyors, Guided Order pickers, Batch job runs in WMS, Barcoding, Digital dashboards, robotic packaging, ASRS, etc.

  • Implement Industry best practices like Warehouse Management System, KANBAN, JIS, JIT, eKANBAN for material procurement, Milk run, Sequencing supply, Visual management, traffic management, etc.

  • Warehouse Management for Raw Materials and Logistics.

  • Design, evolve, deploy & manage standards, methodologies, and tools, exploiting the best practice process through leveraging the network of Subject Matter Experts.

  • Define Material flow from Supplier location to point of use on Production line, Material routing methods, Line side supplying methods, etc.

  • ERP parameter Setting Min/Max level for all local/items as per its store space availability and replenishment cycles.

  • Basic ERP (SAP/Manhattan) & Supply chain knowledge Safety Stock, lead time, Inventory, etc.

  • Identify & Deploy Digitization opportunity to improve efficiency of Plant warehouse/DC's.

  • Travel expectations for this position are 50-75%.


What qualifications will make you successful?

  • Bachelor's Degree in business management, supply chain, Enginering, or any other field related is required.

  • 5+ Years of experience Warehouse Management System, lean manufacturing processes is required.

  • Extensive experience in Manufacturing excellence system is required (Schneider performance system- Similar to Toyota production system for externa l candidates).

  • Analytical and dynamic problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication & team management skills.

  • Good decision-making capability and time management.

  • Influencing and convincing skills.

  • Self-driven to achieve goals and targets.
