Assistant Traffic Engineer / Traffic Engineer
Applications are now being accepted for an Assistant Traffic Engineer / Traffic Engineer
in the Planning Review Section of the Development Services Department. This is a fulltime, exempt position with a starting salary dependent on qualifications.

Primary Responsibilities:
The Traffic Engineer is tasked with the coordination and review of traffic impact
studies for new development.
Review large and/or complicated development applications for compliance with
ACHDs policies and standards; including preparation of staff reports for the ACHD
Board of Commissioners and may include technical presentations to the
Commission.
Provides technical guidance to the Development and Engineering communities, as
well as ACHD staff.
Other duties as assigned that benefit the department.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have comprehensive knowledge of traffic impact
studies, traffic engineering and planning principles and practices.
Must possess an Idaho Professional Engineering (PE) license, or the ability to obtain
within one year. Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering or a
related Engineering field is required; OR any equivalent combination of experience
and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Any combination of education and experience, which provides the required
knowledge, skills, and abilities, is acceptable.
