Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client, a rapidly growing healthcare firm, is seeking a Controller in Secaucus, NJ. This position will be in the office 5 days a week. Commutable by mass transit from NYC.

Summary:
The Controller will report to the CFO and provide support to the CFO in the financial management of the company. This is a hands-on role - the Controller will have primary day-to-day responsibility for all accounting related activities of the company.

Key Tasks:

• In this role, the Controller will be responsible for managing the monthly close including preparing consolidated financial statements in accordance to GAAP, monthly accruals, budget vs actual variance analysis and maintaining the general ledger


• Ensure revenue is recognized in adherence to ASC 606; Manage the annual external audits for the company


• Ensure that effective internal controls and related policies and procedures are in place to facilitate accuracy, clarity, and timeliness of reporting and to ensure compliance with GAAP and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations


• Manage a staff of 8


• The Controller will identify areas for continual process improvement and optimization; Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping the CFO informed of all critical issues


• Ensure staff members receive timely and appropriate training and development

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting


• Certified Public Accountant


• A minimum 10+ years of working within the accounting function as a Controller or an Assistant controller with a growing company


• Experience with ASC 606


• Hands-on experience with managing the general ledger & month end close in accordance to GAAP


• Experience with NetSuite is a big plus


• Experience preparing consolidated financial statements


• Exceptional set of organizational and accounting management skills along with strong communication skills


• Experience out of a healthcare company would be a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
