The award-winning Forbes 4-Star and AAA 5-Diamond Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club is looking for a Retail Shop Manager to join the Team!  


 


Located in the beautiful coastal town of Dana Point adjacent to Laguna Beach, this town played an iconic role in the emergence of California's surf culture and today is celebrated for its laid-back vibe and fun, active lifestyle.  


 


The resort is perched on 175 acres atop a 150-foot seaside bluff with over 400 rooms, 115,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, and 8 food and Beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, a beach club, lounge, marketplace, and IRD. 


 


The ideal candidate has prior experience managing resort boutiques, understanding the unique demands of this niche market, valuable connections with buyers will enhance our merchandise selection and offerings, inventory management abilities and a familiarly with using Winretail and/or Resort Suite.

What will I be doing?


Markets and sells merchandise to guests and manages the gift shop to ensure guest satisfaction and maximum profitability. Buys, orders, inspects, prices and displays merchandise, conducts inventory, selects and manages vendors, manages the financial processes of forecasting, budgeting, purchasing, payroll and inventory control. Performs duties of gift shop clerk as needed. Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff.

Salary Range: The annual salary range for this role is $75,000 - $80,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
