Job Summary:
The Laborer is responsible for a variety of maintenance tasks including office remodeling, furniture moving and assembly, and general upkeep of Tribal facilities.
Essential Functions:

Move heavy furniture, office equipment, supplies, and records.
Assemble furniture.
Conduct general clean-up of Tribal facilities.
Maintain outdoor areas by sweeping sidewalks, shoveling snow, mowing, and trimming.
Assist in setting up and cleaning up Tribal events.
Perform painting and other decor-related tasks.

Additional Responsibilities: This job description is not exhaustive. The incumbent may be required to perform additional duties and tasks as requested by the supervisor, in line with the objectives of the Kenaitze Indian Tribe.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Physical Demands: Heavy work involving up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently.
Hazards: Exposure to fumes, dust, extreme temperatures, noise, and other potential environmental hazards.
Travel Required: Local.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED. Relevant experience may substitute for education.
Experience: Experience with basic maintenance tools. Carpentry experience is preferred.
Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Suite or ability to obtain training within 90 days of hire. Excellent interpersonal skills.

Tools and Equipment Used: Hand tools, electric drills, saws, shovels, brooms, sledgehammers, pry bars, paint brushes, rollers, putty knives, and other miscellaneous hand tools. May drive KIT or personal vehicle.
