Job Description:

As a Technician , you will perform a variety of responsibilities directed toward the synthesis of polymers and other materials used to make coatings. This position is located in Hampton Twp, PA and you will report to an S&T Research Associate.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up reaction equipment, handle chemical reactants, perform analytical measurements.


• Gather data and record detailed accounts of results in a laboratory notebook.


• Apply technical know-how according to established procedures and precedents to recommend alternative solutions to problems to pursue project goals.


• Independent execution on all aspects of an experiment with guidance from supervisor.


• Interpret data and make recommendations for future work.


• Work safely with hazardous materials daily, follow rigorous safety procedures, and wear personal protective equipment including the occasional use of a respirator.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school education with high school chemistry experience


• Mechanical and mathematical skills


• 1+ years of lab experience
