About the Opportunity
As a Cloud SRE Engineering Chapter Leader, you blend your strong technical knowledge and technical leadership with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing people. You are deeply committed to improving the value delivered to our customers and consumers by collaborating with other leaders and Product Managers to establish the SRE practice and framework that will be the standard for the cloud foundational product. In this growth opportunity role, you will directly manage a team of Site Reliability Engineers who will be both a mix of designated to product squads and focused on enhancing the SRE practice. You are intellectually curious and are committed to developing your own expertise and empowering others by bringing the latest thinking to your role.
What You Will Do:
- Influence strategic backlog and prioritization decisions.
- Measure performance through established objectives and KPI’s.
- Align chapter members across squads and product areas to ensure the best utilization of talent.
- Drive resource planning to align with product roadmaps.
- Drive adoption of DevOps best practices, empower teams to optimize and automate, enable continual improvement, toil reduction and develop capabilities to measure code quality, test coverage and defect management.
- Set and apply standards and ensure the work performed is aligned with established road maps.
- Remove impediments to delivering value.
- Actively sharing insights, knowledge, industry practices and developments across the organization.
