Job Description:

Medline Industries, LP has an immediate opening for an experienced Electrical Engineer, Personal Care Division. This role will be based out of our Manufacturing facility in Lithia Springs, GA. This individual will provide support and guidance in the operation, design, installation, and optimization of manufacturing and ancillary equipment. Under limited supervision, analyze existing processes, develop solutions, and implement new processes to improve efficiencies and labor savings. In addition, this individual will manage multiple projects with medium to large scope.

Responsibilities:


  • Lead by example - Support and comply with safety codes, regulations, and plant initiatives when developing processes and designing equipment

  • Initiate, develop, and implement capital projects safely in order to ensure safety, quality, and productivity objectives are met

  • Serve as the technical resource who effectively supports the increase of operational productivity through manufacturing process optimization

  • Be recognized as the technical expert by demonstrating exemplary knowledge, skills, and ability when implementing engineering principles

  • Effectively communicate at all levels within the organization in a clear and concise manner

  • Demonstrate detailed and thorough electrical knowledge for the purposes of employee training and technical troubleshooting and provide Operator and Technician training as necessary

  • Provide guidance in the security of proprietary information

  • Analyze, review, and recommend technological solutions and innovative techniques to reduce Medline's expenses and improve cost
    structure while maintaining or improving quality

  • Lead multiple medium scale projects from concept to realization involving individuals from multiple departments and disciplines

  • Develop basic to medium sized project plans. These plans will include action steps, schedules, etc. to enhance ability to deliver
    quality projects on-time and within budget

  • Develop and write functional requirements, test plans, and work with production issues

  • Conduct training, when appropriate, on quality assurance and/or engineering concepts and tools, including but not limited to
    inspection, measurement and test methods

  • Utilize warehouse management and labor management systems

  • Other duties as assigned

R equirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline
  • Minimum of three years experience supporting a high-speed manufacturing facility is preferred, preferably in a non-wovens or paper converting environment
  • Minimum of three years experience with manufacturing processes such as Allen-Bradley PLCs, Siemens Simotion and Simantics, variable speed drives, and ControlLogix
  • Requirements need to include high level of experience in automation controls and PLC ladder logic programming

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Excellent organizational and capital project management skills and planning
  • Experience working with and managing the work of external technical service suppliers
  • Ability to work independently, have a high sense of urgency and a bias for action
  • Technical writing, research paper writing, and/or experimental design experience
  • ERP systems knowledge and experience
  • Intermediate skill level in computer and systems use (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
