The Opportunity



Reporting directly to the Program Director for Epic Departmental Applications, the Radiant Applications Manager provides leadership to the Radiant Application Team who is focused on delivering Epic Radiant functionality to Mass General Brigham (MGB) and affiliate organizations. They oversee the day-to-day activities of the team, focusing on achieving the team's deliverables on time and within budget. In order to provide expert guidance to the Radiant team, they must learn and understand customer clinical workflows and Radiant application. The AM is responsibility for scoping Radiant contributions to MGB projects and helping to prioritize Mass General Brigham initiatives.


They develop and manage relationships with MGB Digital leaders, teams, and MGB site leadership. The AM addresses challenges/issues, and involves Epic as necessary, to ensure adherence to timelines and elimination of barriers to a successful delivery and services.


The Radiant Manager provides strong human resources management of a hybrid/remote team, including regular feedback, timely check-ins and performance evaluations, mentoring and career conversations. They are responsible for attracting, retaining, developing and engaging high quality staff in a remote work setting.


• Works with Epic as well as clinical and operational leaders to guide the design, development and execution of various projects. Establishes the team's goals and objectives in alignment to identified work and timelines.


• Manages the day-to-day, multi-workstream activities of the Radiant team. Provides resource management oversight; delegates work assignment; streamlines intake; and appropriately sets priorities for the team. Focuses on producing the team's deliverables on-time and within budget. Aligns with expected MGB Digital performance KPIs.


• Communicates effectively across different teams at MGB. Responds promptly to team, colleagues and customers.


• Provides certified build expertise to align technical solutions with desired outcomes.


• Consistent with Mass General Brigham's Human Resources policies, attracts, retains and develops high quality staff. Establishes and maintains a work environment conducive to high performance. Addresses the onboarding, training, performance management, and professional development needs of the staff.


• Educates staff on policies, processes and procedures.


• Schedules and chairs weekly team meetings to discuss team and project related activities, issues, changes, and communication. Communicate news/events to staff, often reinforcing larger program or organizational communications.


• Mentors team members and motivates team to success via critical feedback and recognition for results. Exhibits sound and accurate decision making and serve as an expert resource for problem solving. Remains flexible and adaptable within a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing requirements.


• Employs service management, product management and/or project management methodologies to deliver high quality work products.


• Works with MGB Digital Clinician Leads, Portfolio Managers and MGB Business partners to understand strategic priorities for application build and content development.


• Coordinates with other application and integration managers as required to integrate work and system design, build, testing, training, and go-live to ensure activities of one team do not adversely impact activities of another team.

• Manages issues identified and escalates risks to Radiant team outcomes on a weekly basis to the Program Director and multi-workstream leadership.


• Actively supports the program, PMO and portfolio managers with regular status updates, design documentation, build audits, testing plans and scripts, training curriculum and activation plan.


• Ensures quality of outcomes through timely, well-informed, decisions; review/approval by the appropriate customers; and thorough completion of overall goal.


• Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications

Qualifications



• Bachelors Degree in Business, Healthcare, or related required; Clinical Degree and/or Masters preferred.


• Must have 8+ years related experience, including experience with healthcare clinical systems.


• Must have 3 years of prior staff management and project management experience.


• Must have experience in developing and integrating business processes.


• Must have prior management and relationship management experience.


• Experience with implementing Epic modules preferred.


• Certification in Epic Radiant or Cupid preferred
