This is an exciting opportunity in a growing department at Mass General Brigham Health Plan (MGBHP). The Vendor Contracting and Oversight Program Manager is an integral team member within the Department of Partnerships & Alliances. This role provides support related to the contracting, oversight, and management of vendors in order to ensure compliance and performance. Builds relationships with internal vendor business owners across all lines of business.



Principal Duties and Responsibilities:



• Under the guidance of the Director, evaluate, negotiate and recommend changes to new and existing contracts to ensure that MGBHP preferred terms are included.
• Act as resource for internal staff when consultant, business associate and nondisclosure agreements are required.
• Develop strong relationships with vendor partners.
• Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the vendor oversight process.
• In conjunction with Director, manage vendor risk management process. This includes assessments during procurement and ongoing, based on vendor risk score.
• Manage and maintain Cybersecurity Risk Assessment related tasks, including vendor and MGBHP responses until all findings are completed and closed.
• Manage the annual review of vendor System and Organization Controls (SOC) reports. This includes working with vendors to obtain annual SOC reports, completing SOC reviews to determine if any exceptions have been identified, creating spreadsheets to track all vendor exceptions/management responses, and ensuring that the business has the required Complementary User Entity Controls (CUECs) in place.
• Work with internal business partners in the management of vendor Service Level Agreements and Performance Guarantees. This includes receiving monthly and quarterly vendor reports, reviewing and documenting vendor performance and assessing penalties where applicable.
• Collaborate with internal and external business partners on the collection, analysis and maintenance of relevant data.
• Work with finance and internal business owners to analyze ROI of various vendors.
• Assist in new vendor delegation implementation or de-delegation.
• Assist with management of Material Subcontractors.
• Contribute to expansion of quality assurance and audit functions.
• Hold self and others accountable to meet commitments.

Qualifications

Qualifications:



• Bachelor's degree required or the equivalent combination of training and experience, plus 3-5 years of related experience, including vendor management, contract negotiation and/or risk management.
• Experience working with vendors required.
• Contract negotiation experience required.
• MBA, MPH, MHA preferred.



Skills/Abilities/Competencies:



• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint required. Familiarity with Visio and SharePoint preferred.
• Detail oriented, excellent proof reading and editing skills.
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical skills.
• Experience with formal presentations.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Familiarity with contract terms preferred.
