JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

The Senior Market Segment Manager is responsible for the management of beverage segments. This role sets the strategy for defined industries within a region and executes detailed plans to drive profitable growth across the regional market segment.

Essential Functions

  • Understand regional market structure, market trends and customers' needs to identify new market opportunities and associated offerings for the market segment on a regional level
  • Build a strong pipeline of opportunities which align with regional market trends and customers' needs with impact on Gross Sales growth development
  • Prepare and monitor marketing briefings for relevant growth opportunities in the market segment incl. major commercial and market relevant elements (Business case, value proposition, target customers, target application, etc,.).
  • Work with Application and Business Units to support their development of B2C/B2B product portfolios, and work with local Sales to successfully move to commercialize phase and execution.
  • Establish and maintain a successful market segment plan to achieve required sales value and margins.
  • Responsible for financial results of the market segment business on yearly basis; Balance short and medium term market segment initiatives with existing applications and improving and actively pushing and opportunity pipeline conversion.
  • Identify regional market needs and develop marketing briefings for business opportunities in close cooperation with BU's, Application and Sales
  • Creation of selling tools for sales, including customer facing presentations.
  • Ensure ongoing regional market segment profitability analysis and make and act on recommendations for profit improvement.
  • Potential: analyze, push, use market segment knowhow and update customer- and market potential
  • Prospect: make sure top customers of segments regionally are tracked in the systems; prospect conversion push with sales
  • Territory management: support sales in developing optimal resource allocation
  • Develop relationships with key customers pushing lead development
  • Collaborate with Application and BU to ensure rapid and effective stage gate development of market segment initiatives.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with regular office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours may vary on occasion depending on workload. This role is located preferably in North Brunswick, NJ.

Less than 20%

Required Qualifications
  • Graduate in Business Administration
  • 7+ years of professional experience in marketing and category management
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Passionate about food and beverage industry
  • Curious and updated about market trends
