MAU is hiring an Equipment and Controls Planning Engineer at our client in Greer, SC. As an Equipment and Controls Planning Engineer, you will provide planning, installation, start-up, acceptance, engineering support of new installations, and optimization measures of the conveyor and equipment technology in Assembly. This is a long-term contract with the possibility of direct hire by the client.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, preferred), OR
Equivalent of 4+ years of facilities engineering experience
3+ years of experience in an engineering environment (automotive process or automotive)
3+ years of Project Management experience in several equipment and/or controls planning project as well as structural modification
3+ years of experience in assembly, controls, and equipment (PLC Alan Bradley and Siemens S7; E-Plan)
3+ years of experience in problem investigation and data analysis experience
3+ years of experience in long and short term project management experience (continuous improvement, process analysis, controls planning)
3+ years of experience in a cross functional communication experience
3+ years of experience in equipment maintenance experience in electrical, controls, software, and mechanical areas
1+ year(s) of experience in CAD
1+ year(s) of experience using Microsoft Office applications
Essential Functions:
Engineer the planning of technical equipment within Assembly as delegated by the Plant Section Manager, Assembly
Evaluate concept evaluations with technical and financial focus for new facilities and process equipment
Provide project-oriented planning and realization of measures in collaboration with the internal customer as well as external suppliers
Find the optimum solutions in regard to costs, quality, ergonomics, technical innovation, and environment
Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding structural capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes
Provide cost estimation (Invest, Budget), technical specification and request for quotes
Evaluate, coordinate, and compile bidder circle, call for bids, offer evaluation, recommendation for the award of contract, acceptance of the equipment from the suppliers and handing over to the operator as delegated by the Client Section Manager, Assembly
Develop and implement equipment countermeasures to improve equipment reliability
Ensure all equipment design is capable of 98% uptime
Ensure all assigned countermeasures are developed on schedule and effective
Ensure all assigned projects are on schedule and at/or under an approved budget
Perform other tasks as assigned
