Showroom Assistant

The Showroom Sales Assistant is a vital representative of Calico Wallpaper, often being the first point of contact for clients in our showroom. This role requires a combination of sales acumen, administrative efficiency, and excellent interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for maintaining the showroom's operations, ensuring that clients have a memorable and positive experience. Familiarity with our product line, services, and policies is essential to provide accurate information to our clientele.

Essential Functions:

Showroom Management

  • Oversee the daily operations of the showroom.
  • Maintain a presentable, organized, and welcoming showroom environment.
  • Perform light cleaning duties and ensure the showroom is always in pristine condition.
  • Greet and assist walk-in clients, providing them with a memorable and informative experience.
  • Keep showroom technology, such as iPads and computers, updated with the latest sales
  • and marketing files
  • Assist in setting up for events and presentations, including catering, drinks, and food
  • Setup.
  • Receive and distribute packages and mail within the showroom.
  • Deposit checks and handle related financial transactions as needed.

Administrative Support

  • Order and manage sample inventory, preparing samples for pick-up and sales presentations.
  • Handle phone calls, directing inquiries and messages to appropriate team members.
  • Manage office supplies inventory, including ordering, expediting, and verifying receipt of
  • Supplies.
  • Schedule and organize meetings and appointments for clients and the sales team.
  • Liaise with the project manager on showroom-specific issues (computers, WiFi, phone,
  • etc.).
  • Manage and update the company calendar with showroom meetings and events.

Requirements

  • Interior Design industry experience a plus
  • Must have 5+ years of Sales and/or Interior Design experience
  • Must be willing to contribute feedback and engage in company meetings
  • Upbeat, energetic, can-do attitude
  • Team player
  • Stellar organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Track record for providing fast response times
  • Customer-centric mentality
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in MS Office, Google
