The Role:

The Translational Medicine (TM) team is embedded in the larger Precision Medicine (PrM) & Translational and Quantitative sciences (TQS) department. The TM Lead reports to the Director, Translational Medicine, who is responsible for strategical oversight across multiple clinical development programs within TM. As a TM Lead, you will work alongside the Director, Translational Medicine to support a multidisciplinary team responsible for the design and execution of the biomarker strategy and biological interpretation for projects in clinical development designed to treat hematological malignancies.

Responsibilities:


  • Represent the TM function at various sub/working groups in a multidisciplinary global project team tasked with progressing novel antibody molecules through clinical development.

  • Design and develop translational medicine and clinical biomarker strategies in collaboration with team members to inform and enable the clinical development of Hematology-Oncology program(s).

  • Contribute to the translational and biomarker strategy and interpretation of clinical biomarker data to inform and guide development of clinical program(s).

  • Contribute to regulatory documentation and health authority interactions, including translational/biomarker sections in clinical protocols and clinical study reports.

  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external (academic or CRO) functional experts that can contribute to the TM strategy.

  • Regular reporting of TM/Biomarker data to Genmab development teams and senior management.

Requirements:


  • A Ph.D. or an M.D./Ph.D. preferably within Heme-oncology, immunotherapy, or related field, with at leasteight (8) or more years of translational research, applicable biomarker, and/or clinical trial experience.

  • A solid background in hematology/oncology supported by a strong publication record.

  • Pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry research experience, including experience (translational research) in clinical development.

  • Strong communication skills and sufficient experience in drug discovery and/or early development to represent TQS&PrM in the multidisciplinary TM team and to communicate goals and deliverables to senior management and governance committees throughout Genmab.

  • Experience in guidance of research associates and scientists.

  • You strive for scientific excellence.

  • You demonstrate excellent planning and organizational skills.

  • You work well in a matrix organization; you like to work with a team of experts to get things done.

  • You are capable of working in global project teams.

  • You have a 'getting things done' mentality, pro-active, enthusiastic and goal orientated.

  • Travel will be approximately 10%.

For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:

$142,500.00---$237,500.00

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
