CONSERVATiON RESTORATION TECHNICIAN




Worcester Eisenbrandt, a leading historic restoration construction company specializing in Masonry and Carpentry, is recruiting a Conservator to work in the construction project management department. This is an exciting full time position with many benefits. Such as great pay, paid time off, medical, 401k, life insurance and short term disability.




An experienced CONSERVATION TECHNICIAN will:




  • Assist in the restoration of historic locations, cathedrals, buildings, and more;


  • Experience with aluminum and bronze;


  • Assist in the development of preservation solutions and restoration techniques


  • Read and follow the plan documents and specifications;


  • Work as a part of a team of talented project managers;


  • Research, problem solve for appropriate actions in the areas of product testing,chemistry, restoration techniques, and restoration on construction sites;


  • Participate in pre-construction meetings; site;


  • Keep written reports and photographic records;


  • Assist in ensuring the completion objective and assist in determining that construction meets requirements;


  • Ensuring use of materials specified in the constructions, or securing prior approvals for substitutions;


  • May interact and supervise on site construction labor;


  • Assist in hazard analysis and safety;


  • Obtain necessary supplies, permits and produce submittals;


  • Hands on repair or treatments "in situ" of restoration or improper construction;


  • Follow OSHA requirements and practice safety


minimum qualifications



a. Graduation from a accredited registered college or university with a bachelors degree .


b. An equivalent combination of education, specific training and experience as indicated in (a) and (b) sufficient to indicate ability to do the work.


c. Must possess a driver's license


d. computer competence in the appropriate software to perform the duties
