Job Description:




Binghamton University's Teaching, Learning, and Educational Leadership (TLEL) department, housed within the College of Community of Public Affairs (CCPA), seeks a Lecturer of Teacher Education to work with students who are pursuing degrees in education. The Lecturer in Teacher Education will be responsible for the following:





  • Teaching six courses per academic year, both in person and online, across programs as needed and based on candidate's expertise: Undergraduate Education Minor, Educational Studies, Special Education, Literacy, TESOL, and Educational Leadership

  • Supervision and evaluation of 8-15 students in clinical experiences including fieldwork, internship, and student teaching placements

  • Assist in solving interpersonal communication problems that may arise between teacher candidates and cooperating teachers

  • Provide feedback and attend professional disposition meetings, when necessary

  • Attend monthly departmental and program meetings






Requirements:





  • Master's degree

  • Five years of teaching experience in K-12 schools

  • Five years of K-12 student teaching supervision experience

  • Experience in K-12 Educational Leadership
