Job Description:

Who We Are:


Our team is responsible for Design Engineering, Procurement, and construction of various scale pilot plants. Come join us!


Objectives of this Role:


  • Look up and wire-up electrical equipment safely.

  • Handle up to 480 VAC safely.

  • Specify appropriate wire gauze, fuse size, and wiring connections

  • Look up and wire-up controls equipment safely.

  • Handle delicate instruments at low voltages.

  • Specify signal type, fuse size, excitation power, and connections properly.

  • Complete design and mechanical buildup of control cabinets and cable support (drilling, mounting, etc.) with power tools.

  • Document work in the field (labels) and electronically (logs and spreadsheets).

  • Use specialized equipment like voltmeter and signal generator to troubleshoot electrical issues.

  • Collaborate with controls engineers to set or modify signal parameters.


Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:


  • Create work orders to ensure understanding of the job and safe working conditions.

  • Assess the situation and work safely around electronics and chemicals.

  • Installation requiring specialized tools and equipment.

  • Research or contact vendors to figure out and properly utilize new and existing equipment.

  • Documentation of as built or as modified wiring connections.

  • Documentation of troubleshooting strategies and solutions.

  • Maintenance and repair that require specialized tools and equipment as well as consulting manuals and customer support.

  • Provide designs, recommendations, or custom solutions for builds, modifications, and/or repairs.

  • Provide feedback on improving existing infrastructure.


Requirements:


  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Associates Instrumentation, Process Controls, Equipment Power or related AS degree is preferred

  • 4-10 years: Hands-on experience working with electrical systems such fabrication, maintenance, repair, management of AC/DC power and/or controls.

  • Those with an AS degree must have at least 3 years of related experience

  • Shift work 24/7 will be required

  • Requires knowledge in Outlook, Excel, Word, and OneNote

  • A valid/clear driver's license is required
