Utility Warehouse Clerk at Munster AB in Daleville, Virginia

Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:



Under the direction of the Warehouse Lead(s) and or Warehouse and Logistics Manager, perform and work with warehouse personnel with a variety of warehouse functions, including but not limited to:

• Load and unload trucks; operate a forklift and pallet jack; stack pallets and store material according to proper and established procedures.


• Fill warehouse requisitions for orders and supplies; move and arrange stock as directed.


• Restock supplies and materials as directed; maintain warehouse, trucks in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.


• Fill in for employees while on leave.


• Deliver and require signatures from flow lanes on all delivered components.


• Pull and package orders when necessary, according to the production schedule.


• Notify appropriate personnel regarding shipment shortages, damages, or other discrepancies.


• Be able to construct crates and pallets when required. Band, palletize, and assist in preparing for shipping needs or making repairs to store within the facility.


• Safely operate a scissor lift.


• Perform cleaning duties, dumping trash, taking out and emptying the hoppers, sweeping, etc.


• Performs other duties as assigned by Warehouse Lead(s) or Warehouse and Logistics Manager.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: Minimum of high school diploma or GED



SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Basic modern warehousing methods and procedures for receiving, shipping and issuing materials; proper and orderly storage and stock inventory procedures; proper methods of storing materials and supplies; proper safety practices; basic warehouse procedures; proper methods of handling, packaging, wrapping and shipping packages; lifting techniques; health and safety regulations; interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy; operation and use of hand and power tools and equipment



JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1+ year's warehouse experience

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Munters New Employee Orientation, Quality Assurance and Safety Awareness



HOURS OF WORK: Standard work schedules plus overtime and weekend hours will be required to meet production needs. Scheduled hours for the preparation and physical inventory will be required.



PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Heavy (Lifting up to 75 lbs. on a frequent basis and climbing), Standing, Bending, Squatting
