Job Description:

SUMMARY



The Sales Analyst is responsible for providing insights and recommendations to drive sales performance. This role involves overseeing data collection processes, analyzing sales data, and collaborating with stakeholders to inform strategic decision-making while ensuring data accuracy and integrity. The sales analyst is responsible for optimizing data-driven initiatives and fostering a collaborative team environment.



ONSITE:



This is an onsite position, candidates must be able to report to our Store Support Center located at 2311 Wirt Road, Houston, TX 77055.


RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:


  • Develop and implement sales analysis strategies and methodologies to identify market trends, sales opportunities, and areas for improvement.

  • Oversee the collection, organization, and analysis of data to generate accurate and actionable reports and recommendations.

  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy in reports and establish and maintain standardized analysis processes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales analysis efforts with overall business objectives.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline analysis procedures, increase efficiency, and enhance data-driven decision-making.

  • Act as a point of contact for internal teams, addressing inquiries, and concerns, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.

  • Monitor and analyze competitor activities, market conditions, and customer preferences to identify new business opportunities and potential risks.

  • Utilize data visualization tools and techniques to effectively communicate sales analysis findings.

  • Develop and implement data collection strategies, methodologies, and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and quality across the team.

  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, such as Directors and Buyers, to understand their data requirements and provide support as needed.

  • Conduct quality control checks on collected data to identify and resolve any inconsistencies, errors, or anomalies.

  • Develop and maintain documentation of data collection processes, guidelines, and best practices for reference and training purposes.

  • Analyze and interpret data collection metrics and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and optimize data collection processes.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with external data collection vendors or partners, if applicable, to support data collection efforts.



JOB QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Statistics, Data Science). MBA preferred.

  • Proven experience managing any type of analytical team.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data sets.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.

  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally.

  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis techniques, tools, and software to effectively analyze sales data and extract meaningful insights.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex data analysis findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales managers, executives, and data analysts, to align data collection efforts with organizational goals.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Access, and Macros) and familiarity with data collection software and platforms.

  • Business Acumen: Understanding of business objectives, sales metrics, and key performance indicators to guide data collection and analysis efforts.
