Job Summary
The Production Supervisor oversees the safe manufacturing of high-quality durable composite decking. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for most aspects of this high-volume production environment including: safety, quality, production management, personnel management, supervision, technical solutions, materials management, reporting, training, etc.
Responsibilities
Perform departmental safety audits for any hazards and removes and/or informs appropriate personnel of hazards, conducts accident investigations, and participates in safety committee meetings and safety programs
Liaison between the Production Manager and the shift production staff
Implement production schedules and organizes workflow accordingly
Supervises/directs Process Technician, Lead Operator & Operators
Administers progressive discipline in consultation with HR
Work with production staff on quality control, key production operations, production schedule, maintenance and housekeeping
Advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution in a variety of production related scenarios
Maintains regulatory requirements, applicable laws and company standards in the areas of safety, security, and confidentiality
Any other tasks as may be appropriately assigned by management
Requirements
Minimum of 1+ years of supervisory experience with demonstrated progressive responsibility
3+ years of manufacturing experience preferred, ideally with 1+ years of experience in plastics extrusion or plastic manufacturing
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Associates Degree preferred
Great communicator both written and spoken
Proficiency in basic business (Microsoft Office) Software
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
