Job Description:
$24.50 - $35.00 (est. hourly)Job Summary:Our client is seeking an Engineering Technician to join their team! This team is located in San Francisco, California.
Duties:
- Assist engineers and scientists in developing new or updated electronics and electro-mechanical systems or components for genetic analysis instruments
- Set up electronic systems and devices
- Assemble and connect system components
- Troubleshoot, test, modify, repair, malfunctions in circuitry in existing electronic products, equipment, and controls
- Assist in electronic component layouts and create schematics for PCBAs
- Assist in general procurement of components and hardware for the engineering development team
Desired Skills/Experience:
- 5+ years of experience with electronics
- Ability to understand electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, as well as written instructions and specifications
- Experienced in PCB rework
- Capable of crimping small connector terminals
- Experience in routing wiring in instruments and creating wire harnesses from scratch
- Knowledge on how to use multimeter and oscilloscope to troubleshoot PCBAs
- Experience with using Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Good communication skills
